My family moved to Lebanon in 1975 during the Strawberry Festival. And when I say "in the middle of", I mean it literally. I have vague memories of my father being frustrated as we drove into town to find that it was easier said than done to cross the parade route. He said words that I won't share with you. What I will share is that I knew then that I was moving someplace magical. I wandered the festival at-will, and downtown was mine to explore. My first recollection of a parade or carnival was here in Lebanon, and it makes me happy that my own grandson gets to grow up in a town where a walk downtown can be an adventure, and he will not know a season without our beloved festival. Today, I'm clearly more involved in the business aspects of town, but a walkabout still makes me happy and fills my small heart with gratitude, especially seeing the businesses that decorate their windows, making the investment that ensures that future generations will feel the magic that Lebanon has to offer. Businesses have had to overcome and adapt since 1975. Some of us embrace the challenges, and some of us fight the changes. To that extent I've dipped my toe in the Chat GPT waters, trying to see how businesses might employ Artificial Intelligence to help grow our businesses. Here's what happened when I typed "75 words on why your business should use Chat GPT": Your business should use ChatGPT because it revolutionizes customer interaction. With its advanced natural language processing capabilities, ChatGPT can handle complex inquiries and provide accurate, relevant responses 24/7. It offers personalized experiences, understands context, and adapts to user needs, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. ChatGPT is easily integrated into various platforms, enabling seamless customer support across channels. By leveraging ChatGPT, your business can streamline operations, improve efficiencies, and ultimately deliver exceptional customer experiences, setting you apart from the competition. Aside from getting help constructing one email, and asking it to write my obituary (which was very glowing and not true at all), this was my first real venture to use AI for business or any purpose. Are you using it? I would love to hear how you're employing it to help your business. I'm a bit mistrustful at this point, but that could be the Gen X in me. Looking forward to seeing you all at the Strawberry Festival!
